Vertical Sleeve Gasterectomy Surgery Pics

This is my 2 month before and after pics. The first was taken January 27th, 2012. The final pic was taken on March 7th, 2012. As you can see, my surgery is working. And working quite well. As of this morning I weigh 181 pounds. I can’t bitch about that. Although I would like to get to about 120 I will be thrilled to hit 135 or 140. I’ll be downright skinny as can be at that weight. I didn’t have the Doudenal Switch as I didn’t have enough of a weight cushion for that surgery. I possibly would have starved to death with that one.  It so happens that this surgery literally saved my life as a small tumor was found in my stomach. Apparently it had just started to grow so we caught it before any real harm could be done. And thankfully they got it all and its not something I will have to worry about with the sleeve now. I  have had a very tough year to say the least and I am glad to be back on track with my health. I still have to quit smoking but that will come.  I have every confidence I will be able to quit this addiction. I used to say that I was only addicted to my coffee, chocolate and cigarettes. Well I don’t much care for chocolate these days as it’s too sweet and I have a single cup of decaf instead of the pots and pots of regular coffee that I used to drink so all that’s left to get rid of now is cigarettes. So there you have it. I’m getting healthy and slim again and feeling tons better than I did 3 months ago. All that is left now is to figure out how to quit my job and go back to school to get my psychology degree. I admit to being scared to just take the leap and do it but eventually I will get my courage up and go for it. For now I will research what I need to do to get into the university here and maybe by the time i lose the other 40 pounds I have left to lose I will have the confidence to go for it.
